safe word/gesture

Images of this fantasy have been playing about in my head for a couple of weeks. I started writing it last weekend, but then the characters reached this angry impasse and every time I sat down to write more, they wouldn’t play ball with me. They just kept staring at each other, too involved in their anger to pay any heed to the storyteller. But yesterday they finally broke their impasse and here’s what happened. I make no apologies for the seedy drama, though my poetry leaves a lot to be desired hah. I hope you enjoy it x
